The library offers a diverse collection of e-book databases in multiple languages, including Chinese and English. Users can access and read e-books online anytime, making it easy to explore a wide range of digital resources.

  • Access the database via the E-Resources System.
  • To log in, use your NLPI Library card account (ID number) and password. Once logged in, you can access all available digital collections.

E-Book Online Service

This platform primarily offers traditional Chinese e-books and currently provides access to over 50,000 titles (490,000 volumes). E-books can be read online on multiple devices, including PCs, laptops, iOS, and Android devices. The service is available 24/7, allowing the public to conveniently access digital library resources anytime, anywhere.

  • Readers of this library and Taichung Public Library can log in directly using their library account (ID number) and password.
  • Holders of a library card from partner libraries with “One-Card Access” can activate their account in the National Public Information Library system and log in with their library card credentials (ID number as username; password default: first letter of ID in uppercase + birthdate in YYYYMMDD format) to borrow e-books.
  • Other public library users can borrow e-books after successfully registering as members.
  • Mobile users can download the iLib Reader app for reading.

SunnyAudios Library – ShangYi Education Audio Cloud

SunnyAudios Library offers 125 audio titles, including audiobooks and courses. Carefully selected classics, bestsellers, and various courses are transformed into audiobooks, courses, and dramatized audio content. Topics cover literary classics, cultural aesthetics, philosophical reflections, interpersonal skills, personal growth, and professional development. Users can enjoy reading and learning effortlessly through listening.

Available for public playback within the library and for personal use. Offsite access is limited to personal listening only (public playback not permitted).

  • Supports up to 20 simultaneous users.

NetLibrary English E-Books (via EBSCOhost)

This collection features 3,328 e-book titles across 10 major themes, including architecture, design, art, library science, lifelong learning, e-learning, parenting, children's picture books, fiction, and general guides.

  • First-time users: Please create a free account using a public access computer at the library. Once registered, you can log in and access the service remotely from any location.

udn Library

The collection includes 323 e-books, featuring literary works by renowned authors, fantasy novels, language learning books for the General English Proficiency Test, as well as titles on travel, computer skills, and finance and management.

  • Log in with your National Library of Public Information account (ID number) and password.
  • For mobile access, download the UDN Library app.

Pubu E-Bookstore: Malay Collection

This collection features 170 Malay-language e-book titles, including fiction and literature, children's books, parenting and family, and lifestyle. Each title is available for one simultaneous user (1 copy).

  • Login: Please log in using your National Library of Public Information (NLPI) account (National ID number) and password.
  • Mobile App: Download the "Pubu" app for reading on mobile devices.

Education Cloud E-Book Service Platform

This platform is a digital reading service designed for teachers and students nationwide. It integrates six major e-book databases, featuring award-winning, best-selling, and age-appropriate titles for elementary and secondary school students. The platform supports the reading needs of schools and welcomes all interested teachers and students to access e-books online for free.

  • Login requires either a “Municipal Education Cloud Account (Municipal OpenID)” or a “Ministry of Education Identity Account (MOE OpenID)”:

  • Recommended use: Access the platform via tablet or computer using Chrome browser.
